This Winter Night

“This Winter Night" is a celebration of the turning of the seasons, with poetry settings focused on the natural beauty of the colder months. The program includes works by John Rutter, Florence Price, Claude Debussy, Johannes Brahms, Ola Gjeilo, Elaine Hagenberg, Franz Schubert, Matthew Culloton, Gustav Nordqvist, and Adolf Lindblad. This collection of shorter works spans a wide range of languages and choral traditions, and promises to have a little bit of something for everyone.

Spring Concert
Sunday, May 8, 2027 at 4:00 p.m.
Our spring concert promises to be equally as exciting and will focus on folklore, with themes of fairies, nymphs, naiads, and pantheons. Accompanied by a full orchestra, the program will include Ralph Vaughan Williams’s “In Windsor Forest,” a cantata adapted from his opera “Sir John in Love,” with words by William Shakespeare and other prominent Elizabethan poets. This will be paired with Johannes Brahms’s “Nänie,” a heartbreaking lament that sets the words of Friedrich Schiller, evoking the pantheons of Greek mythology
